Astrocast selected as a High-Growth Potential Startup by the Swiss Entrepreneurs Foundation within the SwissEF UpScaler program.

Swiss Entrepreneurs Foundation (SwissEF)

Based in Bern, the Swiss Entrepreneurs Foundation was founded in December 2017 under the patronage of Swiss Federal Councillor Johann N. Schneider-Ammann.

The aim of the foundation is to support start-ups and entrepreneurship within Switzerland and to promote a Swiss innovation ecosystem with improved basic conditions for the commercialisation of innovative technologies.

The foundation pursues both a public and non-profit approach. It does not seek to make a profit and does not represent commercial interests, with the foundation’s profits and capital used exclusively for the purposes mentioned above.

The Swiss Entrepreneurs Foundation (SwissEF) is financed by its sponsors and donors. The interdisciplinary Board of Trustees is supported by a high profile international Advisory Board.

SwissEF UpScaler program

Through the intensive support of a tailor-made team of experienced entrepreneurs and experts and a focused support program, the start-up in the SwissEF UpScaler program quickly makes the necessary progress with its relevant success factors.

The SwissEF UpScaler program starts with a 360-degree strategy analysis. A plan of action and measures is drawn up for the weaknesses and the relevant success factors.

With the support of a personal team of experts, the objectives are pursued, reviewed on a monthly basis and possible approaches are developed in joint workshops.

The SwissEF UpScaler program is result-oriented and the start-up has monthly goals to achieve. If the goals are repeatedly missed, the start-up loses the qualification for the SwissEF UpScaler program.

Fund

The Swiss Entrepreneurs Fund is supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. The approval was completed by the end of January 2019.

The Swiss Entrepreneurs Fund will focus on growth financing. An important aspect of direct investments is to enable growth financing with more venture capital from Switzerland.
